August 1, 2022: Fairfield’s First Responders and CT Senator Richard Blumenthal gathered to raise awareness about Slow Down. Move Over.

Senator Blumenthal announced that he and IN Senator Mike Braun would introduce a resolution to the US Senate in honor of Corey Iodice which would press for stronger SDMO law penalties and propose a national SDMO day.

Fairfield First Responders presented Flagman with a donation to further the national initiative.

Post Sentencing Press Conference

June 2, 2022: A Connecticut court applied CT’s Slow Down. Move Over. Law, in the death of CT tow operator Corey Iodice, for the first time since it was enacted in 2009.

After this historic sentencing, Cindy Iodice, founder of Flagman, held a press conference with CT Senator Richard Blumenthal and key Flagman advocates (AAA, MADD, HAAS Alert,  DOT)  to push for stronger SDMO laws and public education.

BRIDGEPORT — A Weston man was sentenced Thursday to four and a half years in prison for driving drunk and killing a tow truck operator who was loading a disabled car onto a flatbed on the Merritt Parkway two years ago.
